Journalist Mark Knoller just confirmed for tomorrow what we all expected would come within the next week or two. Knoller tweeted out that Obama will announce his new executive orders (They now use the propaganda phrase “executive actions”) on gun control from the East Room at the White House tomorrow at 11:40 AM EST.
The exact details of what will come in tomorrow’s round of orders is not yet confirmed, but several media outlets are reporting it will include a mix of the following.
Expected Executive Orders:
- Expansion of Mandatory Background Checks for Private Sales
- Expansion of FBI and ATF Role in Gun Control
- Hiring of More Agents at the FBI and ATF
- Increased Funding for Mental Health Treatment & Diagnosis
It should be noted that NONE of these executive orders would have stopped the Muslim San Bernardino terrorists from committing mass murder. Or other mass shootings for that matter. This because most shooters obtained firearms legally and had no criminal or mental history.
What is likely to happen, however, is that such measures will make it increasingly more difficult for law-abiding citizens to defend themselves through the safe and legal aquisition of firearms.
We’ll be watching the announcement tomorrow and will report back with an update after the speech.
